//5p Review
//CONCEPT
//Generation 2 of the original VCF karambit design, the new VCF Mark 2 is completely rehauled to be a more compact but still extreme performance oriented knife. A copy of the NK folding karambit, the primary difference is this knife has a double edged blade with an aggressive top hook. //PERFORMANCE
//Lightweight but sturdy feel, the handle has improved ergonomics and the traditonal finger ring functions to help retain the knife in an intense confrontation. //FINAL IMPRESSIONS
//The VCF is a modern representation of the traditional karambit knife but with amplified features such as grip, leverage & edge/steel/geometry performance. Personally this is my favorite fixed blade of all time & the one I would choose to utilize in a fighting situation despite the limitations of size & not having a lethal 4-5" stabbing depth. The blade shape allows for both technique versatility and deep penetrating slash cuts. |
//CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN
//Made of the best materials that I have had experience working with, the handles are G10, the back spacer/finger ring is titanium to save weight & the blade is the toughest steel available for knives Z Wear. //ROLE & APPLICATIONS
//Compact & overbuilt, as with any effective martial arts based weapon, each individual has to find a knife that offers intuitive feel when handling & manipulating the blade. The VCF has a very unique handle shape that promotes proper seating of the handle in the fingers and hand & doesn't have a gurad that can catch on materials because it is based on real proven karambit design. It's hard to convey in words but the knife guides your fingers into the correct grip for the hand to receive and distrubute high impact forces in a reverse grip. |
