//CRKT Hissatsu Tactical FOlder
//The primary feature that makes this one of the best liner lock tactical folders in the market is the auto engaging secondary locking mechanism which moves into place when the knife opens, automatically preventing the liner from unlocking by obstructing it
//Designed by James Williams |
//Blade is AUS8 steel at 58-59HRC with a lean edge. In test cutting small branches led to a rolling and damage of the edge but still very good for self defense & easy to sharpen
//Better than the larger version the Otanash Noh Ken because of the auto lock |
//Fast deployment with spring loaded action but a trade off because now it's harder to open & cannot be a gravity knife. The spring bar is more for individuals that need to ensure secure blade retention.
//With spring assist bar removed the knife can be a gravity knife that locks two ways!!! |
//Has a steel liner lock that is as thick as an Emerson knife but the liner has better durability because it's steel. Also the tolerances are very high and the knife engages the same no matter how intense the knife is deployed
//Voted one of the best tactical folders by NK |

//ROLE & APPLICATION
//Definitely an admirable tactical knife. With the spring bar the knife is honestly too much hassle to open but without it the knife is a marvel. The action is extremely smooth, with a wrist flick the knife deploys and the secondary lock engages. A person can debate which is the best tactical knife out there & if you purely base that on lock strength alone then a Cold Steel wins every time among everything in the market but the deployment of a Cold Steel is not as smooth and the blade shape of the Hissatsu is done right. To pierce through vests a sharp point is necessary so most tactical knives are not real use. Being branded as a tactical knife is big statement and the Hissatsu has the authentic features and design. |
