//CONCEPT
// //PERFORMANCE
//The perfect kitchen, outdoor light/medium utility knife because it needs virtually no blade maintenance. With the majority of folding knives available you have to dry them off or be careful how acidic the thing you're cutting is. With the H1 steel featured in these Spydercos you can finally be assured that your knife will not corrode. Being able to find a quality made truly stain free folder is awesome. |
//CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN
//Blade heavy is the first thing someone will notice and that's because besides the locking bar and screws, the majority of actual steel is just the blade. The handles don't have steel liners inside them even though they're based on the Endura design. //ROLE & APPLICATIONS

//FINAL IMPRESSIONS
//I've been using and abusing my yellow FRN handle in the kitchen ever since I got the knife & I can say I don't ever imagine buying another normal kitchen knife again. The yellow really helps with safety and visiblity for other family members going through the kitchen. The blade may not be the optimal grind for certain kitchen cutting tasks but the difference in performance is so small it's not important. What is important is that H1 steel can be easily stropped to keep sharp & the hollow ground blade isn't so thick that it makes the knife become a wedge often when splitting. I love the weight & the only possible change I could hope for is Spyderco releases one with the Emerson wave feature.
